Church Building and Grounds

Building Facilities

The facilities of St. James Episcopal Church include a beautiful Sanctuary, a large parish hall with windowed walls, 3 classrooms including a nursery, and a large kitchen. The facilities are available for use by both members of St. James parish as well as outside groups for meetings and events.  If you are interested in using our facilities, please use our Contact form to request information about availability, fees, use requirements, and application forms.

Helm Memorial Garden

St. James offers a beautiful and sacred garden to our parish and the surrounding community. The Helm Memorial Garden was created by parishioners Kay Chervin and Gene Helm in memory of their parents, LaVelle and Reeve Helm. The Helm Memorial Garden holds a columbarium for the internment of ashes, and it is also home to our Labyrinth and Stations of the Cross which are beautiful tools for quiet prayer, reflection and spiritual growth throughout the church year.

All our welcome to use our garden space for retreat and solace, and if you need assistance with how to use the Labyrinth and Stations of the Cross, please use our Contact page to send us an inquiry.

Community Gardens

St. James offers twelve garden plots to our parish and the surrounding community. There is a minimal charge for a plot and each gardener is responsible for planting, watering and harvesting. Plots are rented for the growing season usually starting in April and ending near the end of October. Please use our Contact page to send an inquiry and we will email you the information when we begin to fill our spots in the Spring.
